With two other Venture for America Fellows, I co-founded a side project that we call Wakeable, the anti-snooze alarm clock. We submitted our project as part of VFA's Innovation Fund competition which encourages fellows to do crowdfunding to jumpstart their ideas. For Wakeable, I led our UX design, created infographics, edited our campaign videos, wrote copy, and a blog for VFA about our process. We now have apps on the App Store and Google Play. Within two days of launching we met our goal, and in the weeks since have raised 239%.
